AN ANCIENT
ART FORM

Predator Bird Services maintains over 80 raptors which use their instincts in these unnatural work sites. These are a few of the different species that we use to keep your site bird free.

EAGLES

Eagles are large, powerfully built birds of prey, with a heavy head and beak. Even the smallest eagles have relatively longer and more evenly broad wings, and more direct, faster flight – despite the reduced size of aerodynamic feathers. Like all birds of prey, eagles have very large hooked beaks for tearing flesh from their prey, strong muscular legs, and powerful talons. Eagles’ eyes are extremely powerful, which enables them to spot potential prey from a very long distance. The female of all known species of eagle is larger than the male. We use eagles mainly for goose control. They also will move flocks of nesting gulls easily. They are the ultimate of last resorts!

FALCONS

We currently use several species of falcons, which will cover large areas very quickly. They are the most powerful tool we use when faced with thousands of problem birds. We have begun using GPS technology to show their track around your site, giving us details such as altitude and top speed for your enjoyment.

Hawks

We predominantly use Harris’ Hawks as control birds. They are gregarious in the wild, which means they live as a family group and hunt like a wolf pack. Their desert origin enables them to work in a wide range of temperatures. Once they adopt Predator staff as their hunting pack, they become tame as dogs! A great asset to every project.
